I am very excited about our school journey to Boulogne tomorrow and have spent the morning researching some interesting facts!
- Did you know that Charles Dickens spent many summers in Boulogne with his family?
- Did you know that Julius Caesar sailed from, what was then know as Bononia, in 55AD to invade England for the Roman Empire?
- Did you know that the walls surrounding Boulogne were built over 2,000 years ago to protect the city from invaders?
Can you find any other interesting facts about Boulogne?
What are you looking forward to?
To the children who are not going on the trip:
I will try to keep this blog updated during the week and I would love to hear about the exciting things that you are doing at Chatsworth! I know Miss Davies, Miss Maloney, Mr. Bischenden, Miss Joseph and Mrs. Frosdick have been working very hard to create fun and challenging activities for you so keep us updated too!
Hello Miss Croash! I hope that all the children and staff are having a great time in France. It's a delight having some of 5AC in our classroom this week. We have been baking vegetable pasties and created some incredible portraits today. I didn't realise that 5AC had so many talented artists.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip!
The France trip was amazing especially Nausicaa (Sealife in French) and the Chocolate Factory.I'm desperate to find out what they've been doing in school.
ReplyDeleteWe went on a midnight walk on the beach as it was extremely close to it.It started to rain and we had a thunderstorm with lightning.You could actually see steaks of lightning.It was awesome.
We got to have showers everyday. Boys in the morning and girls in the afternoon (when we got back from where we went out) and evening.
@Miss Croash
