Literacy Homework: 29th January 2014

We have been looking at different versions of Little Red Riding Hood this week and comparing them, looking at how location and time period reflects the retelling of traditional stories with a view of re-writing our own version set in Hounslow in 2014.

Your task for homework is to take a different traditional tale and imagine what it would look like in Hounslow in 2014. Where would Cinderella go to the ball? How would Hansel and Gretel speak to one another? What would they look like? Create and draw an annotated story map that you can use to tell your story to your partner tomorrow (Thursday, 30th January 2014).

This homework must be done on paper so that you can use it tomorrow during our lesson!
