Dear Diary,
ReplyDeleteToday was a normal day for me. I woke up this morning and got dressed. Today,I was going to go see King Henry VIII. So I got changed, got into my carriage and went to Hampton. As I know the king, I get to meet him. I don't know why everyone just thinks he is fat and greedy. When you sit down and talk to him, he is not a bad person. So I got to the Great Watching Hall at Hampton Court and I got to play a few games while I waited for King Henry to come out of his apartments and we can see him again.
When Henry came out, he was wearing some amazing robes. The robes were at least half gold and half cotton. They were so colourful. And let me tell you about his shoes. All of it was made out of silver and had a little spiral at the end. After looking at Henry VIII's clothes, we all got a chance to speak with him. Me and him were talking about how much he likes life at court.
He said he loved everything about court because he got everything he wants when he wants it. He liked getting to meet all of the nobility and getting to talk to him. After that, we got to have dinner there. Then, someone accidentally wound King Henry up. Henry got so mad that he chopped his head off and everyone clapped. We all ate a lovely dinner and I then went home. I changed into my bedtime clothes and went to bed.

ReplyDeleteQ2: Hampton Court is a place where King Henry VIII lived, and showed off his wealth to other people in Hampton Court.
Dear Diary,
It is the 20th January, 1901, and I have just woken up. I am going to go to The Great Watching Chamber to have my breakfast. The Great Watching Chamber has a ceiling made out of real gold, and it has royal badges all over the room. Since I am Nobility, and I am the kings friend, I may be invited into his private apartments! After that, I am free to do what I like, so I might go to the Royal Gardens today. They are very beautiful, and it is hot today, so the fountains will be on! Maybe I could meet up with my friend, Jane, and we can chat and dance at the banquet today! I've heard my friends saying that royalty will be there, so I will have to dress nicely. The banquet finishes late at night, so I will have to go to bed straight away, otherwise I won't have enough rest tomorrow.
The four groups of people were:
ReplyDeleteThe King
The Nobility
The Gentry
The Commoners
The Court is a place where lived King Henry VIII and millions of wealthy people, but not all people are wealthy like the Commoners.
Dear Diary,
Today was an ordinary day, but not all days were ordinary. I woke up in the early morning like the others but servants have to wake up even earlier to get the food ready for breakfast. So i got dressed as quickly as possible because the King was going to talk to all Nobilities because normally the King often comes to the watching chamber. I played a few games with my friends until Henry comes. After that King Henry VIII came and everyone that wanted talk with henry including me went one by one but not in a line and nothing went wrong between me Henry talking and no disturbance either.
Finally we had dinner with everyone that were in the chamber and Henry was in a good mood. we made jokes to make the King even happier and it worked. I went home in my carriage and i felt happy that the day went good. I got back into my clothes and went to a goodnight sleep!!!!!

Q2 Hampton Court was the place the royal family in the tudor times lived and they held banquets to show off his wealth.
Dear Diary,
It is the 28th of June and it is the King and my birthday. I wake up and I head to the Great watching chamber. As I was a close friend off him I dashed into the apartments and greeted him a Happy Birthday. The King shyly smiled at me and greeted me in a soft and sweet voice. This would never happen to the commoners but I was a duchess. My maid came and took me to the watching chamber. I saw my friend their sitting in the long dress with a ruff around her neck. It was velvet with a bit of lace. She called me and I sat on my birthday throne. I sat their and waited for the conductor to introduce the meal. We gradually finished our breakfast. Today was a banquet so I put my long gown on with a lace ruff and velvet collar. It had a yellow embroidery. I then danced with my friends. It was late in night but their was enough time to cut the cakes off the King and I. Then I went to bed and me and my friends were tucked away in a different land than ours.

ReplyDeleteQ2. Hampton Court palace is were King Henry had banquets and to show of his wealth to other people.
Dear Diary,
I woke up early to do cleaning in the hall were King Henry VIII had a banquet last night, because last night I forgot to clean up ; I was to tired!. So I ran quietly down the steps so King Henry won't wake up . I walked in the hall and started to clean up. It was a big mess I needed to do it quickly and then to do breakfast for the King.
After I finished cleaning I went in the kitchen to do a royal breakfast. Suddenly I heard screeches coming from upstairs I heard the King coming downstairs for his breakfast.I looked down so that the King won't notice me. He came down and sat on his throne waiting for a commoner ( that's me) to come with his breakfast. I. Walked quickly with his food and placed it on his lap just to say he makes a mess with his food sometimes. After he ate I took his food and cleaned it up.
